Hi Folks,
I appeared for the SCJP2 exam this morning and passed with a score of 81%.
After writing the exam there are a couple of points I feel is worth sharing with all of who plan to write the exam in the near future.
1. You would have read at many places that the new exam is tougher as compared to the older one. I feel this is absolutely wrong. Yes, the new exam is surely tedius than the earlier one due to the inclusion of lot many code based questions but it is definitely not tough, I bet.
2. Time is not at all a constraint. I finished answering all the 59 questions in just 55 minutes. There were almost 14 to 16 code based questions (few exceeding 12 to 14 lines). One thing you will observe is that, the lenghtier the code the easier it will be to analyse it (ie, pretty straight forward codes).
3. Regarding reference books for the exam, I feel Khalid Mughal's book is the best. Roberts and Heller was suitable for the older version.
Any help from my side, please do let me know. I shall help my best possible. My email id is vijayachouta@satyam.net.in
regards,
Vijaya J Chouta
