Hi!
I had a question related to Collections Topic.I want to know upto what extent one has to study this topic for the programmer exam.I am referring to books by Khalid Moghul and Barry Boone.
The topic seems so vast...

zThe questions are usually about the following -

  • The Collection class hierarcy - the interfaces, the objects, the implementations etc.
  • Which are thread-safe collections and which are not.
  • Which are sortable collections and which are not.
  • Which can take null values and which cannot.
  • When can you add non-unique keys and when you cannot.
  • If you are given a situation (storing/retrieving objects using a collection ), and a set of Collection classes to choose from, can you make the correct choice?
  • The syntax and the behaviour of various adding/searching/seeking/deleting objects to a collection.
  • Ability to identify compile time/runtime errors in a program that uses collections.
  • Convert from one collection to another using bulk-retrieval and bulk-add methods.

  • That's pretty much about it.
    Good luck,
    Ajith
