I am new to java and want to take SCJP exam. I have C++ and OOP knowledge. Please suggest me some sites that will help me to start off with my preapration and also the books that will help me.

U could possibly start with java 2 complete reference and spend
some time getting to know the language before u actually appear
for the exam./ download jdk from the net- cnet.com/zednet.com
Make sure ur concepts are strong to get u going. www.javaprepare.com is one good site to exam prep
