Hello Sundar, Do not get depressed. There is always a second time. Rememeber mock exams and actual one is different. I also had the same problem like urs - took a long time to read and answer the questions. But i was not very tensed but. Some how by God's i managed to clear the exam. So do not feel let down. Give a try again and most important- Do not get tensed. Good Luck,

Well...looks like the new exam really requires more time to complete because you will have to read through lines and lines of code. Your experience in doing Mock exams may not help much Don't get browned off. Develop some strategies for optimising your time like using method of elimination to improve your chances of guessing, trying to identify compiler errors first( if it happens to be one of the answer ) and so on. I am sure you will make it through the next time. Ofcourse, if you have any questions, ask in Javaranch Good luck, Ajith

How long did you go about studying for this exam??? I did really well on the mock exams as well. Just curious.
Asundar, I know its easy to say, but don't get too disheartened. At least next time you'll know what to expect. Its very easy to spend a lot of time re-reading a relatively easy question just because of nerves/uncertainty and as a result not end up with very much time for the longer ones. One tip I used when I took it was to always read the answers first before clicking the exhibit button. At least that gives you an idea as to what you're looking for. If none of them say "compilation error" then you know that you haven't got to scan every line looking for a wrong spelling or capital letter. The best of luck for next time, Cheers, Rob.

Hi Asundar, Don't get discouraged! Many fail on first attempt. I did. Take some time to relax. Then resume with a new preparation. You said you were getting 80% in mock exams. Prepare so that you would get in 95+% in mock exams. Next time you'll be more confortable, I'm sure.

Thanks for Everyone Giving the Confidence . I read all three books Bill Brogdon,RHE, Jamie. I took just one 2 month to prepare exam.I was not very confident on Threads I got 14%. Moreover I thought of goin 2nd round after completed my first around in Exam .But I had to answer 30 questions in 25 mins.I would say that I lost my confidence because of that I went late to Exam Hall.I felt Exam was Easy than Mock Exam.Even some questions from thread I did not read. I think I too prepared for Exam.Because at Exam question was very easy except threads I should not have spent much time like reading many books for Exam. one more thing I/O API(Constructors) is most important .I should have spent some time on API instead of reading books always. The day before the Exam I spent much time on MAHA'S SITE. Exam questions is too easy than Whatever discussed at maha's site .Only time is Time management is most important at Exam Anyway I see ya later thanks for ur reply... all the best for others who are goin to appear in Exam.
