Thank you all at Java Ranch!!! I wouldn't have made it without the advice from everyone!!! I kept thinking the test was very difficult and that I was going to fail until the last 15 min which I used to go thru the whole thing once more and then realized that maybe I had a chance. The part on threads was the toughest (only got 57%) and there were a couple of tough questions on anonymous inner classes. There was a lot of code to read and the feeling of not having enough time haunts you through the whole test which makes it extra difficult to concentrate on the actual questions. I studied for about 2 months but before that I had taken 2 courses on Java at the university of Stockholm. Good luck to you all and goodbye!
Congratulations Manuel Palacio ! Well done ! Thanks for ur feedback on the test. I would appreciate if you can give me more details about the test. Thanks and have a great day Prasanth

Well there the typical questions (quite a few)about String inmutability and reference passing like in the mock tests (but with longer code). Then there were questions about io (mainly about class File) and how you could chain a File to a stream. There was only one question about garbage collection---you were supposed to say after which line an object was ready to be garbage collected. Easy questions about layout managers and awt. No surprises in the operator questions. << >> && & etc One question was what the range of a char was (65536) The hardest were the threads.About 4-5 questions here, 3 about synchronization. Many lines of code and none of the answers seemed right. Difficult questions too about anonymous inner classes (at least for me) but no code here. Regards Manuel
