GridBaglayout--what do we need to know

The book I looked at said I don't need to know about gridbaglayout or cardlayout. Is this true.
If not can you giv me a complete tutorial. Idon't have any information on it.
can you give a summary and all the important facts

Kourosh, you defenitely should know about GridBagLayout - I got question about it on the exam.

And here http://nimbus.temple.edu/~jmillawa/GridBag/GridBag.html you can find online simulator � very useful! You should have some practical experience with all these parameters (how they affect size of components�) � it will help if you get unexpected question on the exam.
As to CardLayout, I am less sure, as far as I remember nobody ever reported that they had it on the exam. When I was prepared, I read about it just in case, but did not go into much details.
