I had some very interesting details for the preparation.
1.EXAM PATTERN HAS CHANGED:- THERE re now 59 questions and PASSING GRADE IS 61% not 71%.
2.TIME LIMEIT IS REDUCED:-onLY HAVE 90 MIN.
3.DO lot of practise exams.
4.CONCENTERATE ON SPEED AND ACCURACY.
5.THERE ARE LOTS OF CODE QUESTIONS SO BE PREPARED FOR SOLVING SOME LENGHTY CODE ANALYSIS.
6. THEORY COMES FROM IO(FILE ,STREAMS).

Congratulations Abhinav. I felt sorry for you for not knowing the change in exam pattern. I think you missed out on the happenings here at JavaRanch.
The pattern of exam has changed about six weeks ago and We have been discussing this here at JavaRanch since then. We even updated the certification FAQ for the benefit of others.
For those who don't know about the new exam pattern, please read the FAQ which also has the link to Sun's official SCJP page.
