Day before yesterday . I passed SCJP with 76% marks .Having scored 100% in both Threads & IO section , I could not stop crying over my dismal result and I am still not able to come to terms with it .I lost all my marks in Java.lang section , the reason I still dont know ?? There must be a way to know about the questions you did wrong and to know about the right options
for the same at the end of the exam . One of the questions from java lang section (sorry i cant mention it at this forum) which I tallied with my friend after the exam(who also appeared for the same and had checked the same options as me) , he got it right but I wrong .Any way I would like to convey my best wishes to all the fellow aspiring participants of this forum .

Congrats Swati,
Wow 100% in Threads & I/O. That's really great.
How does the score matter - after a day, ofcourse on that day you feel sad. But you got the certification ie important.
Pls, can you tell which books/sites did you refer for I/O & Threads?
It will be of great help.
Thanks
Sudha

Have a heart. you have achieved something, be happy for yourself. it is very easy to bash yourself up, but difficult to congratulate oneself, without loosing track of reality. and 100% in threads and io is nothing to sneeze at! great going.

Thanx a lot ANIL, SUDHA & HARPAL !!!
Regarding thread :
Please go through the discussions on threads given in Maha Anna's
Java Page . Try all the code examples given in those discussions yourself . Do read Khalid's book . Its the best book as far as certfication topics are concerned
Regarding IO :
Questions asked are mainly based on Constructors . It will be fine if you go through the Java - nut shell (O'really pub) which put's all the constructos and hierchy comprehensively .

ow, cmon, man !
u did it atlast ! after all, how many people who have given the exam will get 100% result in such a difficult topic like threads and IO ? u don't have to be that cross with ur self !
i got a sorry 50% on operator precedence inspite of goin great in rest of the topics, bringin my overall percentage down to 85%.
....after all, u have achieved what very few people in the world aspire for: proven that u have now a standardized method of evaluatin ur java performance, from the 'Source' itself !
...so cheer up !
regards,
esh
