A while back, I read that you could take the scjp2 through IBM and you could become a scjp2 and an IBM certified professional all in one test. I was wondering what other people thought about this. Do you think it would be worth my while to look into it more, or do you think that it isn't worth it? Any replies would be helpful. Thank you for your time. - Sean
IBM has its own set of certifications and is completly independent from sun. IBM just might be a better choice because they are more known. ------------------ I wish there was a button on my monitor to turn up the intellegince. Theres a button called 'brightness' but it doesn't work
"Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning."
IBMs exam is only useful if you plan to work for IBM. I would suggest not taking the test if you plan to do real world development. IBMs test is centered around its proprietary APIs and tools and has very little depth compared to the sun exam. I think you'll get much more respect professionally by passing the sun exam.
