answer given is true but I strongly believe that it is false
am i wrong ???

It is true, at least according to Wrox JAVA 2 (2ed) pp273.
However it mentions constants rather than methods. MAybe a check of Sun's Tutorial might clear this up.

It is false. That applies only to variables.
Think about it... how can an abstract method be final?!
