Hi
I'm trying to download some signed jar files using Java Web Start. It works fine when I use Weblogic alone. However if I use Weblogic along with IIS, I'm facing the following problem.
JNLPException[category: Download Error : Exception: java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://localhost:80/myapp/myapp_ui.jar : LaunchDesc: null ]
at com.sun.javaws.cache.DownloadProtocol.doDownload(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.cache.DownloadProtocol.getResource(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.LaunchDownload.downloadJarFiles(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.LaunchDownload.downloadEagerorAll(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.downloadResources(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.handleApplicationDesc(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.handleLaunchFile(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.run(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
The wrapped exception is
java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://localhost:80/myapp/myapp_ui.jar
at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source)
at java.net.HttpURLConnection.getResponseCode(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.net.BasicNetworkLayer.doRequest(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.net.BasicNetworkLayer.doGetRequest(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.cache.DownloadProtocol.doDownload(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.cache.DownloadProtocol.getResource(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.LaunchDownload.downloadJarFiles(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.LaunchDownload.downloadEagerorAll(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.downloadResources(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.handleApplicationDesc(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.handleLaunchFile(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.run(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
Is there any special setting / configuration at the IIS level that needs to be done? Any help will be greatly appreicated.
Thanks in advance
Geetha

hi Geetha
i'm sorry but i dont understand what you mean by IIS and Weblogic combination.
can you explain more about your situation?
also, try to download the same jar file via the direct URL in the browser and see if that works to make sure that rest of the things are okay and something going wrong with the java web start.
regards
maulin
