By default Web Start pops the desktop-shortcut-icon-creation question on the second launch.

To prevent the creation of the short cut, we can adjust the shortcut tab in preferences of WebStart Application Manager to "never install shortcuts".

But, i want to prevent the creation of shortcut with out changing the preferences of WebStart Application. i want to do this through some programming logic or setting some properties in jnlp file.

Can anybody help me to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance

hmm havent tried it before and dont think its possible unless you hack in to jnlp packages,
Why is it an issues if they create shortcuts
