Error starting webstart app from browser

Hi,

A user can not run a webstart app from a webpage, but they can launch the program from the webstart desktop icon.

When they click on the link to the .jnlp file, they get the error message in a windows dialog:

"Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied"

This is on a windows 2000 box. Can anyone suggest what is wrong? The user may not be an admin user, but I did not think this matters for webstart.

Regards, Jared.

In answer to my own question, it was a matter of user accounts vs admin accounts on windows 2000/XP and java webstart not being associated with .jnlp files.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
