hi..working from Head First book..i am lost with adding mime type to server..dont get it..i have windows vista..Internet Explorer..where to put mime type ..please can you give example..thank you

Neither Vista nor Internet Explorer are servers. You need to find the web server from which your JNLP application will be distributed and follow the instructions for that web server.

hi again..i dont have a clue how to find the web server from which JNLP application will be distributed for my computer..this is all new to me..
 
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
