Sould be relatively easy to break in, considering that it only asks for the password. I estimate that all it would take is a few dozen lines of java code, and about 2.5 days to run it, assuming that the password is a real English word.

Never underestimate the linguistic skills of a Grouch.

Ravish - you aren't supposed to be able to enter it. It's like Moderators Only, but less interesting. Sometimes when we delete threads, we aren't sure if they should really be deleted or not - in this case, we move the thread to Trash Can, and we have the option of restoring the thread later if we change our minds. In other cases, there's no question that something should be deleted, so we just delete it, period.
Note that this only works for moving or deleting entire threads. If we need to delete an individual post while keeping the original thread, then we just delete that post, and it's gone. There are ways to leave a copy in the trash can, but it's more work, and so usually we don't bother.
Eugen- perhaps. Assuming there's no other security. Of course if you are detected as a hostile invader, who knows what else might happen. Really, Trash Can is just not that interesting to be worth your time.

I was not considering it, -- just addressed the issue from the Java/http/authentication security point of view.
