That was a great article. I only understood about 1/2 of it but I gained the jist of it. What I would like to see is how some of those JVMs did against C++. Or did I miss that whole thing and it was really there? Or is it that compiled C and compiled C++ end up being the same?

Compiled C and C++ are pretty much the same. So what you saw was comparisons between Java anc C/C++
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
