Applet vs Application

I have only tried this on my PC, but it seems that my SWING program performs better as an applet than it does as an application.
Does anyone have any relative links on these kinds of performance issues?

I haven't heard anything about this myself - sounds strange. If no one else in this forum has any idea about it, you might try posting in Swing or Applets. If you do learn something interesting about why this might occur, I'd like to hear about it. Good luck.
