JVM & RSS

I wanted to know if the RSS of the process running the JVM depends on the Min and Max size of the JVM for a AppServer. I see that RSS keeps on increasing throughout the performance test and wanted to know if I change the min and max JVM to the same lower size say 64MB see if more frequent full GC's would kick in and prevent the RSS to grow
