Hello Jack,
I'm very interestd in your book, "Java Performance Tuning". I think it will be helpful for my J2EE project.
Could you pls let us know the major topics in your book? Is it kind of design pattern book? What is the main motive for you to write the book?
Thanks,
Yingtang

Well, it seems some of these can be answered by looking at O'Reilly's page for the book, including the table of contents. I doubt strongly it could be classed as a design patterns book, though some patterns may be referenced...

Thank you, Jim. I checked the site you provided. Now I hope to get a copy of the book.

This is not a design patterns book, but I do briefly cover those design patterns that are optimizing design patterns.
I wrote the book because I had a great deal of material I had gathered from performance tuning projects over many years. And I decided to start writing about that material, so that other people could have one reference point for all these techniques that were available for performance tuning applications. And to make some extra money of course.
