what is the most clean implementation of Portal related specs ?
I mean in open source community.
does StringBeans is best ?
could you people who have experience with portal / porlets answer to this quesition ?

It depends on your view and your definition of Clean,
LifeRay has most widest community between OS portals , it is most completed portal system ,
features like : hot deploy , very easy portlet decoration , good support for themes ,... make it a good choice , hence portal systems like StringBeans are very promissing .i used StringBean for one job and im happy with my choice.
Other portal systems like Exo , gridsphere ,.... are available , but i have no experience about them.
so my ranking for now :
1-liferay
2-SringBeans
3-Exo (its long time that exo team does not release any version)
...
