Wikipedia is your friend: Blogging

How do you know you have to integrate blogs into your portlet if you have no idea what they are?

There are any number of different blogging software packages, and each one has a different API (if they have one at all). So you will have to pick one (preferably one written in Java) before you can start thinking about integrating it into JetSpeed.

after you read the reference that Ulf gave , come and explain more about what you need
do you mean you need a weblog portlet to add it to your portal? or you need to implement some functionality related to weblog and blogging in one of your own portlets ?

I should suggest another approache.
take a look at java.net and sourceforge.net also at http://www.java-source.net/open-source/bloggers
there are several already made blogging system , you can use one of them as a base and try to convert it to a portlet , it will be far easier than creating a blogging system from base.
try to find a Struts / jsf / plain jsp based weblog system and check the apache web site under portal project for portlet bridge
it is easier

hi Kalali, Thank you very much, Actually, i'm half the way of the blog's portlet( i myself doing the code) once it is completed, i will discuss with my team lead, if he satisfied, then no problem, otherwise i will go ahead with your new suggestion. Thanks a lot.
