This week's book giveaway is in the General Computing forum. We're giving away four copies of Arduino in Action and have Martin Evans, Joshua Noble, and Jordan Hochenbaum on-line! See this thread for details.
Anyone has a recommendation on the best (or at least good) book on Portlets. It looks like I am about to jump into a large project that uses portlets as a component for a large part of it.
BTW, I know absolutely nothing about portlets. For example, this project also makes references to flash... and I don't know if the two technologies related, or just another technology that is used. (Which leads to a side question for the best book on flash. )
Don't know of a book, but I got my start into portals with Jetspeed 1. There are a fair number of articles and examples available for it. It's got a non-trivial learning curve, though, so if you're really interested in a particular portal, it might be better to start with that one. Jetspeed 2 has the advantage of implementing the relevant standard JSR-168.
There's a book review on a certain Java site that you may be familiar with. The book itself is a couple of years old, which is probably a strike against it.
Well, you're using Flash and Portlets? Here's a link that has Flash presentations describing how to code portlets and administer the WebSphere Portal Server.
Similar links will be going up on the www.examscam.com site to support the new book on WebSphere Portal 5.1 certification, test 399. [ August 27, 2006: Message edited by: Bear Bibeault ]
