Portlet section replacement

Hi,

Can anyone help me with this problem??

I have a portlet with 4-5 sections in that. Each section can be maximised & collapsed. I want to replace one of the section with the new section.
Is there anyway i can do it without performance hit??

I appreciate earlier reply.
Thank you,
Sowmya.

Can you say Ajax?

Why not use an Ajax portlet, and just replace the internal content with a little XmlHttpRequestObject magic.

If you want a tutorial on creating a JSR-168 Ajax Portlet for WebSphere or JetSpeed, let me know.

Thank you so much!!

Can you please give me more details about Ajax portlet?

To brief about the new section of portlet, there will be editable fields and after editing cancel/save button should bring back to the previous section updated.

Thank You,
Sowmya.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
