Hi,

Whenever I start my portal Server 5.1, It takes atleast 20 to 25 miniutes to get into STARTED mode. After that I need to run XMLACCEESS batch which also takes some time(Running batch is different issue).

My whole application contains 4 war files which needs to be loaded into WPS. So is there trick by which I can reduce my server start-up time with all 4 wars loaded & started into portal server.

Need your suggestions.

I highly doubt the number of war files deployed is the problem. How long does it take to start without the war files installed?

Monitor memory and heap size. Those are probably the biggest performance settings you need to monitor with a portal server.

Thanks Cameron,

I think you are right!
At a time I am deploying 4 war files, that take lot of time to load & initialize!

Thanks again for your reply!!
