How to make ajax call to jsr168 portlets?

Hi All,
I am trying to make an ajax call to portlets. It works fine to some extents. The scenario is something like this: I have A.jsp from which I am making an ajax call to PortletA. It does all the actions and fetches all the data from a database but the problem is that after that I want to display the contents in a div on A.jsp by including another jsp in it...In portlet after finishing the processing I am forwarding to another jsp i.e B.jsp but while returning the control after ajax call it does not display any content in my A.jsp's div.
Any help or suggestion is welcome.

I can't help you with your specific problem, but you might get some insights from the following article, especially if you happen to be doing this with IBM WebSphere Portal. This article should be using JSR 168 portlets, though I'm only 95% sure of that.
