Hi Ranchers,
Just wish to know that will ajax will work on IBM specified portlet in IBM portal server ?

I know that it work on Servelts/JSR 168 but its not working properly on IBM specified portlets in IBM Portal Server 5.

I will appreciate if you could give light on the topic and tell me how it is possible ..

Indeed they will!

I actually have a tutorial on my portlet book on creating an Ajax portlet. They're pretty kewl, and they really take the stress off of the Portal Server.

Pick up any standard AJAX tutorial, and just code the content spot the same way. Your AJAX portlet should deploy to WebSphere with no bother.

One caveat is that the web based resource, be it a JSP or Servlet that your AJAX call relies upon must be in the same war file. If your content resource is outside of the current war, you won't be able to address it.

Have fun!
