For wizard type of screens, or more complex applications, the JSR168/JSR186 spec sometimes doesn't provide enough full featured functionality. As such, the Portal Apache project provides a variety of bridges for certain portals.

Which bridges does the LifeRay Portal support? Does it support Struts and JSF portlets, and for that matter, are there any other common frameworks other than Struts or Java Server Faces that can be wrapped up in a Liferay portlet?

Hi Cameron,

YES. Liferay uses some bridges of Apache Portal Project.

Struts: Apache Struts Bridge

MyFaces: Apache MyFaces Portlet Bridge

ICEFaces: standalone

Spring MVC: Spring
