Can't I deploy without that only using IBM Webshpere Portal Server? 2. I have seen lot of downlod files in IBM site to download Portal Server. Totally confused which one to download? 3. Lot of demo applications use IBM Websphere Portal Server 5.1 Test Environment. I haven't seen download link in IBM. Please help me guys..... WebSphere Portal Server is known as a "WebSphere Extension", which means that it provides functionality that runs over and above a basic WebSphere Application Server. However, the Portal Server is indeed deployed and run on top of an IBM WebSphere Application Server. As far as the download goes, I do believe that when you download the portal, you actually end up downloading all of the binaries that will isntall the WebSphere Application Server as well. The installation of the portal server will step you through the installation of all of the required components. -Cameron McKenzie
