Hi, I am developing JSF portlets for Websphere portal 6.1 in RAD 7 and 7.5 . I am new to this portal env . I wanted to know whether we can create a local websphere portal server in the workspace and debug the code as in other WAS servers . If not what is the best way to debug/test the jsp,jsf and other view components other than deploying it to the portal thru the admin console. Thanks !

You can so long as you are licensed to. IBM Leases their licenses on a "per mip requirement" where they don't care where you installed it, so long as the total processors running doesn't go over there count. Another thing to consider is there free server the WAS CE with a Portal tie in. (On it's own server that you all just use, so your license agreements work out). Ray
