I am writing application.I want help in method which can create only connection to server port. I have server port number 8080.
Please explain me with simple example:

Assuming you have a webserver set up on your pc with a listener configured for port 8080 the code is something like:

Hi Carl,
Please help me out in following:
I have created very simple applet which gives 5 textboxes and one button.I want following:
When I click button, it client should make connection with server and send reauest file as an string to server.then server should listen the request and response back to client. I want this all in one applet only...
