Here's the scenario, if anyone can please help: -user visits login page on a server1 port 80 -user is authenticated and username, pass, and authentication method are stored in request object. -user now has a choice between a number of webapps he/she has access to, one of which is running under a different tomcat server on port 8080 on the same machine How can I check, on the other app, sitting on the other tomcat server, whether the user is authenticated? Is there any way I can pass the request object to the other server? How bout a session object? I don't want to pass any informtion in the url i.e. GET
