I need to get information about the Yahooo Messenger Protocol for chatting , I am particularly interested in the web cam broadcasting and receiving protcol. The reason that I post this query over here since I am planning to write a j2me applicaiton that will let me view my friends web cam on my mobile.
I have written a j2me applicaiton that shows me live traffic cam images, though the update speed it quite slow about 20 sec for each image, I just am interested in integrating the server side with Yahoo ...any ideas ...links etc

I m also interested in it.but yahoo allow to use their server to run ur application ??.

if they give the protocol, how can they assure that we are using the our own server rather than yahoo's server??.or they allow to use their server?.(remember outgoing web addressed r trappable).

I am sure that the yahoo protocol is avaliable since there are many clients applicaitons that can be used as yahoo messenger client, like everybuddy, trillian etc. But i need actualy protocol so that I can write my own client

Try this link: Yahoo Messenger Protocol (ver 9). It's pretty arcain and I don't know how accurate it is, but it may give you a starting point.
