Till your client can connect your server over LAN/WAN/ Internet throug IP addr or m/c name, client is not needed on same m/c.

You have to put your ChatClient applet in a directory accessible from the internet, and of course point to it correctly from your html page.
About the ChatAdminServer, it have to be running on the server machine, and of course it need privileges to open the needed port/s.
If your company is not the owner of the server, you need to ask for that permission,
but most of the times the host will refuse to grant it if they do not trust enough in your programs...

Hello Mr.Ravish,

(since we dont have a web server for our own self and also as told by u the WEB host will not grant us permission to run my socket program);
Thanks for clearing my doubt. I still have some doubt .pls let me know whether i can CAN I DO THIS
1.Run the ChatAdminServer in my LAN network .and i will give all permission for a client applet residing in the web on some other web server machine.
2. And also we are getting an IP which is not static .It changes daily so what we can do..
If so pls let me how can i do this.
