This week's book giveaway is in the Agile and other Processes forum. We're giving away four copies of The Mikado Method and have Ola Ellnestam and Daniel Brolund on-line! See this thread for details.
Is there any good tutorial or book on IDL anyone knows? Regards,

Hi Shiva, A tutorial on idl by itself would not be too useful, because the purpose of idl is to develop interfaces, which compiled with idl2java or idl2c++ compilers will produce the stubs, skeletons for a corba based application. You can get a good image about idl by having "C++ programming with CORBA" by Vogel&comp, which I have and is pretty good. It's not the best, but you can get an image about idl. Cheers, Cata Lin.

if you need the nitty-gritty, the finer points of IDL, as I have from time to time (it comes in handy when raising faults with the ORB vendor) check out the following URL: http://www.omg.org/technology/documents/formal/corba2chps.htm that's the full CORBA/IIOP v2.3.1 released spec, broken down by chapter. The chapter to look at is IDL Syntax and Semantics just my tuppence-ha'penny...
