This port is configurable. I don't think many would use a preferred port like 900. It's been a while but I think in Visibroker it's OSAGENT_PORT.

Thanks Jim, I thought I have read somewhere that naming service is listening on port 900. I guessed if it is a protocol that it should have a dedicated port. Thanks for Your reply anyway. Vladan

Hi, If u don't specify any port, RMI runs on port 1099 by default. Neelima.

OSAGENT_PORT is by default on 14000(Inprise VisiBroker). This can be reconfigured to any port between 5000 and 65535.
