I have a Web application uses RMI in order to get data from DBL server (synergex). It normally works with Netscape but not with IExplorer. At the IExplorer consol i have this error :
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.rmi.RemoteException
at com/ms/vm/loader/URLClassLoader.loadClass
at java/lang/ClassLoader.loadClassInternal
at FedCoop.init
at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.securedCall0
at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.securedCall
at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.processSentEvent
at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.processSentEvent
at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.run
at java/lang/Thread.run
Can somebody help me?

IE does not support RMI. You will have to download a patch for RMI from the Microsoft website.
Refer to http://www.jguru.com and click on the RMI FAQ for the url.

Also there is a great article on Sun's web site about using Applets and Servlet with RMI. I don't have to URL but the title is Java Servlets and Serialization with RMI.
