I am doing some research on Content Repository, methods they should have, technologies used.

I have already tried. Unfortunately the serch results are too abstract. The resources I have found are dealing mainly with evaluation and quality of CMS's not with the concepts and basics of building them.

You may want to check out JSR 170
Content Repository for Java technology API:
http://www.jcp.org/jsr/detail/170.jsp
It is still very early but nonetheless could become a very important Content API.
