Hi.
I want to learn an OOSL, Which language do you prefer ?
Python or Ruby ?
What the difference between them ?
Any personal stories to share ?
Thanks.

I prefer Python.

Ruby until recently was a very minor lanuage that almost no one paid attention to... (it still is minor by the way ).

Only because of the whole web framework Ruby On Rails, you now hear all the hype about it.

In my opinion (and ofcourse people will disagree with me), Ruby is just hype and will go away as fast as it came.
Python is a more mature scripting language and i think one of the best out there.

Again, i suggest python but it is a matter of personal preference.
Good luck in whatever you choose.

I agree that Python is far more popular in terms of user base compared to Ruby. Then again, I do think Ruby is a far better language than Python. That is, in my opinion.
