Hi Java Comunity,

We have a product on a market for 5 years - the JavaTwain (recently renamed to Morena) http://www.gnome.sk - a package which enables you to connect to a scanner or camera directly from a java application in a very intuitive way. Till now, it supports scanners and cameras with TWAIN driver, soon we are going to replace it with a package which will work for other drivers too, the first step was renaming the package so its name won't be missleading when the other driver implementations are added .
We have succeded to make it work with applets and Java Web Start too and this is a field, where we got many experiences about how you can make to work an external package in an applet. We would like to share our experiences with the javaranch comunity and I couldn't find out how it is possible.
Could you please provide me with some information about the policy of javaranch? Is it possible for me to write an article to javaranch?
Is there a possibility to post some source code to your site (where?), or post a product announcement to your site?
Thank for your time,

Erika Kupkova

We've been experimenting with some feaky pages (wikki pages made by sheriff Frank). I think this sounds like the beautiful beginning to a post-your-own product page.
Frank? Are you out there? What do you think?

Erika,
You could certainly write an article for the Newsletter! You need to contact Dirk@javaranch.com to get it published.
You should make an announcement and discussion about it in "blatant advertising". I know the forum name sort of puts some folks off, but it WILL get read, and it will then show up in the list of "recent posts" at JavaRanch which LOTS of folks work off of.
Then you could look for users who could use your product as a solution to their question and reply to their posts with a reference to your product. I would guess that the J2ME forum(?) would be related to your product.
