It sounds like you need the Java Print Service API... Sorry to say that I haven't used it a lot, but it sounds like PrintServiceLookup might be what you're looking for.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
