On Jini road

These days I'm learning about Jini.
It is a very powerful and cool technology but I seems to me it is not under heavy usage in the real world (well, yes, I have read Sun's paper about Jini success stories).
Do you advice me to continue my trip with Jini?

I enjoyed playing with Jini.
Personally I think it had problems in the architecture and implementation (I heard it described as "made by PhD's for PhD's"), but it has now been taken over by Apache as Apache River.

I have hope that it could be molded into something useful, but nothings appears to have happened yet.
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
