I've been reading through CORBA tutorials today, but as often happens on the internet, the examples include deprecated coding, and either don't compile or don't run. Does anyone know of good beginning tutorials / examples that are up to date and actually work? IDL as well as DII is of interest.

Afraid I'd just be Googling, like you would. I do know some good books...

Betty Rubble? Well, I would go with Betty... but I'd be thinking of Wilma.<br /> <br />#:^P

Have you found an answer to you question yet? I know it was posted a long time ago. Anyway, you need to make sure of few things: 1) The version of Visibroker is compatible with with your JDK version 2) Check to see compiler command vbj or idl2java have backward compatibility options with previous version of JDK. Also check these links from Borland sites http://support.borland.com/kbcategory.jspa?categoryID=128 http://www.borland.com/us/products/visibroker/index.html You may want to carefully review the development process from IDL writing based of on your request/response object/Interfeface, to generation of java skeletons, stubs, helper, Impl files. This very important for you to start off on a good footing. [ September 14, 2007: Message edited by: Bougnon Kipre ] [ September 14, 2007: Message edited by: Bougnon Kipre ]
