JSF and Cactus

Hello Ranchers,

I am moving from Struts to JSF these days. I used to do some Functional Testing for my Struts Actions using Cactus and StrutsTestCase. It was pretty simple. I am having some complications with JSF. I can set up the request directly in setUp/textXxx methods by adding my managed beans to the request, and initializing the FacesContext manually, like this:

This works quite well. But I would like to test the whole life cycle, including validation, immediate properties/actions and so on. Is there a way to do it using the beginXxx() methods provided by Cactus? I mean, setting the request URL and parameters to something that JSF will understand?
Any help is appreciated. Best regards
