I'm using myfaces in my J2EE(EJB3) project but when the .ear file is deployed and my tree2 component is rendered it is missing the gif's that make up the lines of the tree component. The needed jars are in the right place.

Do I have to change or add something in my faces-config.xml?

Make sure you have something similar to the following in your web.xml.

Among other things, the extension filter allows you to use resources (js, images, css, etc) that are available in the MyFaces jar files associated with components that need access to these resources.

The other thing to check is that you have the image icons for the tree. I *think* that if you run the myfaces demo of the tree2 you'll see in an images folder and tree folder with the tree icons.

Thanks everything worked by adding the extensionsfilter in the web.xml, I left it out because I'm not using the fileupload extension and this was not a good choice.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
