JSF from HTML

Hi,

I am totally new to JSF. I was working with JSPs and servlets earlier.
My question is:
The HTML page developer has developed some web pages in HTML. All the pages have rich GUI components like calendar, tree, and other HTML components like buttons, dropdowns, checkboxes etc.
What components do I have to redesign to make them JSF UI components?
Is that the usual way of development? first create HTML mockups and then redo stuff using JSF components?
Pls help me

Thanks.
