Validation Error: Value is not valid.

HI all,

I have a drop down after seleting a value and submitting it is throwing up some error

" Validation Error: Value is not valid."

Please help me

I think there is no validate="false" attribute for h:selectOneMenu tag. Take that out and change that value="apple" with a real backing bean value. If you really want to see the message use attribute required="true" and don't select anything from the menu.

Sometimes you will get this error upon sending some other value, as a selected value, which was not there in the list previously.
