Thank you Chris Schalk for being here.
as you know Facelets and Seam are two major frameworks that shine in JSF area.
Fcelest as a view echnology specefically for JSF and Seam as a context framework based on JSF and EJB3.

we already have a JSR (jsr229) about web beans that will move some part of seam into a JSR.
Also i think i read on some weblogs that Facelets will become a part of JSF standard in next versions, is it true?

based on many other changes in java web development area , what is your view for JSF / component driven frameworks in the near future ?

Thanks

You're welcome.
Regarding whether Facelets will be incorporated into the JSF spec. I believe I heard something similar, but Ed (who's the current JSF co spec leader) should be able to comment on that. I think it would be a good thing.

In general my view on Faces is that it will thrive or die based on the power of the components that the JSF community provides over the next few years and I'm happy to see that this community is flourishing. By looking at JSFCentral.com and seeing component libraries popping up and especially by checking out MyFaces and ADF Faces/Trinidad, I see a lot of really cool and powerful technology becoming easier to use.

Of course, I found a very beautiful couch. Definitely. And this tiny ad:
