very basic question

I need to set a button label dynamically. But this code does not render the "Tab" part of the label.

where as this code using an outputText gives the complete value.

Can anyone explain. Thanks for your time.

I don't know why it happens but try out like this to solve your problem

I hope your backing method returns a string

Public String myCurrentTab(){
String s1 = "Edit ";
String s2 = "your dynamic value";
String s3 = " Tab";
String con = s1+s2+s3;
return con;
