Hi Krisp,
I've been using JavaServer Faces in Action which is a very good book for those who really know nothing about JSF. I fully recommend this one.
However, if you don't have money to buy this book, you can also find a lot of free available tutorials on the web. Just google it.
I would recommend you to read chapters 17, 18, 19 & 20 of the J2EE 1.4 Tutorial from Sun which also cover a lot of JSF details you need to know to get started.
For sure all the suggested books are rich place where to find informations.... but also if it could look a bit "obvious" the Sun J2EE Tutorial. For sure if you are starting to look for the JSF technology ALL the tutorial is too much BUT if you read only the JSF chapters first you will have a clean description of the technology, second you will have already available the overall vision. For example i think that have a great value read throught the firsts chapters and realize how naturally you include/extends your underlying technologies from Servlets to JSP and finally to JSF.....at this points yuo can just stop otherwise you fall into the Enterprise beans.... or continue in the discovery
