I am usng t:selectItems inside a s:selectManyPickList. My itemLabels are too long to be seen inside the selectManyPickList window. Does anyone know to get a tooltip for each selectItem? Appreciate any ideas in this direction.
I have searched other threads on this forum for the same; they seem to be too old to post replies, hence I am opening a new thread.

I customized s:selectManyPicklist component to render the title attribute as well. For the moment, I set the title's value to itemLabel's value; I may have to create a new selectItem /selectItems component to take a separate title attribute.

Hi

I saw yoour reply.I faced this problem it is possible by using sandbox.you can download sandbox.jar and copied into your lib folder.

you can try like this in your jsp page

this tag used to trim the string and the follwing tag used to dispalay full string as a tooltip

here iam a given a sample how to do .So you just follow this

Thanks for your suggestions.
But I am curious to know if this will work with t:selectItems(or f:selectItems or f:selectItem).
Is this myfaces-sandbox.jar different from tomahawk-sandbox.jar? I have the latter and that's how I am able to use s:selectManyPickList component in the first place.
